Goodbye 2014, hello 2015!
I have some big goals I am looking to accomplish over the next few years and I plan on starting the course towards those goals in 2015. I an ready to embark on my BQ by 40 goal and an eventual Ironman. These are goals that many people tell me aren’t possible, but I know deep down inside if I truly commit to training that they are within my reach. It won’t be easy, but what in life is?
In addition to my training goals I plan to work on myself. I have some qualities about myself that I want to work on this year, like my negativity, feelings of self-doubt and procrastination. I have grown a lot, but I still fight this qualities every day and it is wearing, on me and on the people around me.
I also want to work on my blog. I plan to figure out a regular schedule I can stick to, Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and provide both personal and informational posts.
Last, but not least, I plan to work on my nutrition. I want to tighten up my diet, plus my husband and I have been working on eating more organic foods, in addition to grass-fed meat and products without GMOs. This is a work in progress and I will share my successes and struggles on this topic here too.
Some have said I cannot achieve these goals. Some have said banning GMOs and eating organic doesn’t matter. Some are completely supportive of these changes and goals. The one thing they all have in common is that it will take perseverance to accomplish them all.
2015 is a new beginning. It is my year to persevere.
Do you choose a word that stands for what you want to achieve in the new year?
