It’s insane to me to think that I have been writing this little running blog for 5 years! What’s even more insane is I actually missed my blogiversary!! Running, Loving, Loving turned five on January 27th. I actually thought it was the 29th until I saw a memory on Facebook. Either way this is a huge milestone for both me and my blog. This blog has changed over the years. I started on blogger and then about 8 months into blogging I moved over to wordpress.org. I changed headers a few times, my first being this one:
This header resided on my blog for about three years when I decided to mix it up and have a more personal header created. The one that currently resides on my blog is actually my favorite and resonates greatly with how I am feeling at this current moment in time, which is getting back to running.
January is for new starts and changes. This January started off a little rocky as I started PT to recover from a three month long injury that prevented me from doing what I love: running. As we close out the month I am finally back on track which is why my new header resonates with me at this time. I am getting back to the basics of running.
I started this blog over five years ago to stay accountable to myself (and my few readers) while training to run a half-marathon in under two hours (Check out my very first post here). This year my journey will take on a similar role as I forge ahead and reclaim the endurance I have lost over the past few months. I will work towards one big goal in November: The NYC Marathon. Redemption will be mine and this blog will help me get there, along with my running coach, my readers and all my running friends, both IRL and virtual.
I hope you will continue to follow me as I head down the road to recovery and hopefully, on my way to a BQ in my 40th year!!!!
