I am back!!! These past few weeks have been extremely busy and stressful and unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. What I am changing is my perspective. Even though I am busy at work and the new house, I am thankful for both. Things could always be worse.
I am learning that I can’t do everything and I have to enlist in some help, like hiring a cleaning service to come to my house 2x a month. This expense is so worth it because I just cannot keep up and in all honestly, I’d rather not spend my free time cleaning. I also hired Katy Widrick to “refresh” my blog! I have been wanting a change for awhile and thought I would be able to do it myself, but I couldn’t. Hiring Katy made the process so much less stressful for me that it is work the investment.
I was going to hire someone to create a new blog header for me, but thanks to Canva, I did it myself. What do you think?
It feels right and is totally me. It is also simple and clean, which was the look I was going for and would have had a hard time explaining that to anyone else. Now that the blog is all refreshed, it is time to refresh my content. I am planning to continue to share my running, loving and living adventures along with informative content. I really think you are going to like what you see over the next few months, so stick around!!! If there is anything you would like to see here please feel free to comment or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now onto Global Running Day!!
While I won’t be participating in Global Running Day myself due to a broken, I hope you will! Global Running Day is meant for runners all around the world to share their passion for running. Becoming a runner starts with one step, so if you have ever had the desire to be a runner, today is the day to start your journey.
Running provides me with peace. Ask anyone, when I don’t run I am a different person. I run when I am happy, sad, stressed, angry and for any other reason you can think because running makes everything better. When I ran for the first time at 19 years old I felt accomplished and confident, probably for the first time in my life and that has not change. Running has given me so much and has made me a better person all around.
So what’s happening on Global Running Day???
- ASICS will be asking their audience to answer the question “What Do You Run For?” using the hashtag #WeRunJune1. For every 100 uses of the hashtag on Twitter ASICS will be giving away 1 pair of shoes. (Contest terms and conditions)
- OrthoLite & EatDrinkBSkinny are hosting a #NationalRunningDay Twitter Chat at 7 p.m. ET. They want to bring the running community to come together to share their National Running Day experiences! They will also be giving away prizes during the hour long twitter chat! RSVP here.
- In addition I am positive there are many local running clubs are hosting their own celebrations for the day!!
I hope you have a great Global Running Day! I will live vicariously through all of your running posts!
Are you running today??
