This quote I saw on Facebook resonated with me. I get asked many questions on the changes I have made physically over the past six months. How did you do it? How do you find the time? How do you find the motivation? What do you do?
The answer is…….whatever it takes.
How did I do it?
I work hard every single day. I made myself a priority. Am a selfish? A little, but I am a much better person when I am taking care for myself than when I am not.
How do I find the time?
I make the time. I get up at 4-5 am at least five days a week to exercise. When I don’t exercise in the am I make time in the afternoon or at night. I have exercise equipment in my garage so that I can exercise whenever it is convenient for me. My family knows that this is a priority and they support me 100%. My 8-year old will even exercise with me in the garage.
How do I find the motivation?
I am motivated by how I feel. I feel pretty awesome and I don’t want that to change anytime soon so it motivates me to do what I need to do even when I don’t feel like it. I am motivated by how I look. Some may say this is superficial, but it is still motivating. I like the way I look and feel in clothes again. I accomplished the goal of being comfortable running and exercising in a sports bra. I may seem narcissistic to some, but honestly I don’t care what anyone else thinks. Most importantly I am motivated by my accomplishments. My running has never been better. I feel great and am faster than I have ever been!!!! Running an under 2 hour half last month for the first time in over 6 years really boosted my confidence and that accomplishment propels me forward.
What do I do?
Whatever it takes!!!!!
What do you do????
