I cannot believe I have been blogging for 7 years! I started this blog as a way to document my training for an under 2-hour half marathon and I ended up finding myself, along with an amazing community that I am grateful for each and every day.
This excerpt from my very first blog post blog post still rings true today:
“Life is filled with dreams that wait to become reality. We can achieve that reality only if we make an attempt to live our dreams and pursue our passions. We only get one chance at life and we never know what tomorrow will bring, so we need to live in the present and turn our dreams into reality. I plan to blog about the road to my dreams and show that anything is possible if you try.”
I have changed a lot since that very first blog post and much of that change occurred because of this blog. I have become the person I have always known I could be and this blog is partially responsible. Over the years I have had amazing opportunities, made many friends and have been a part of an amazing community of people I would never have known if not for Running, Loving, Living. I am thankful every day for everything this blog has brought me and continues to bring me.
Last year on my blogiversary I wrote how my goal for the year was to run a 1:45 half at the 2018 Key West Half Marathon. Well, Key West changed to Naples and the 1:45 ended up being a 1:46:47. While I did not hit the 1:45 mark, I am thrilled with time I achieved. I have made leaps and bounds over the last year with each half I ran after Key West better than the last. I even managed to PR three times!
This year once again my blog will mostly focus on training. My big goal this is year is to BQ in Chicago in October. I need a 3:45 to BQ and 3:40 to make sure I can actually run Boston when I BQ. I am confident in my ability to achieve this goal, but it is going to take a lot of hard work to get there.
I look forward to sharing another year of my life with you all! Thanks for hanging around with me for the past 7 years!!!!

Do you have a big goal this year?
