[Tweet "Check out Toni's @FitFoodieRace Clearwater Recap:"] This 5K was going to be a PR race. I was feeling good and I was going to go for it, all out. Well, Mother Nature and the race course had other plans for me. First off the weather sucked. Temperature was in the 50’s, no sun and windy. I know 50’s is by no means cold by some standards, but this “Floridian” felt cold. It is amazing how your body changes when you move somewhere ...

2017 Wiregrass Wobble 5K Recap
[Tweet "Check out Toni's 2017 Wiregrass Wobble Recap"] Thanksgiving morning started with a 6 mile easy run with some of my favorite Moms Run This Town ladies! This run was the start of my long run for today. Six miles literally flew by with these ladies! I had to leave after six miles in order to get home for the Wiregrass Wobble, but not before sharing mimosas with the ladies out of the back of Sarah’s car in Chili’s parking lot…….because we are classy like that. Carrie ...

Cocoa Beach & Naples Half Marathon Training Recap
So this past week officially started my training for the Naples Half. The training overlaps with my Cocoa Beach training for a few weeks. This past week also marks my first week back training with my coach Jess. This was both a good week and a bad week. The bad part was that my left thigh/hip has been bothering me. I have seen my chiropractor and gotten cryotherapy for the issue, both helped, but not enough. The good part was that I won the second place ...
The Great Mother’s Day Race 2017 Recap #GMDR
[Tweet "Check out Toni's Recap of The Great Mother's Day Race Sarasota 2017"] My friend Carrie was looking to run a 5K and during her research she found this race. She asked if I was interested and of course I was, what an awesome way to celebrate Mother’s Day. She invited some of our other runner friends, but they couldn’t make it. The race was on Saturday the day before Mother’s Day in Siesta Key on the beach. FYI Siesta Key was rated the #1 beach in the United ...
2016 Firecracker 5K Recap
[Tweet "Check out Toni's Firecracker 5K Recap"] What’s a trip without a race?? Especially a race on the last day of said trip. It seems when I decide to run a race on vacation it has to be on the last day of vacation. In the past I have run the Virginia Beach Rock’n’Roll Half right before we drive eight hours home to NY. Is it ideal, no, but it was the way the race always worked out. I figured why not keep that tradition especially when I found out that one of my ...
Tampa International Airport 5K Recap #TPA5K
[Tweet "Want to run at the airport on the tarmac? Check out this #TPA5K Recap:"] This recap is a long time coming, but I will blame injury for me not being able to put this up, mostly because it was such a great race and it was too painful to remember it to recap. This week I was able to bend my toe!!! This may sound like nonsense, but for someone who broke her toe 5 weeks ago this is progress!!! So now I am ready to tell you about my first 5K in a really long time, like since the ...
#RWHalf 5K & 10K AKA The Five and Dime Recap
Somehow I thought it would be an awesome idea to run the Runner's World Half and Festival Hat Trick, which consist of a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon all in one weekend. Saturday morning would begin the journey to completing the Hat Trick, with the 5K at 8am and the 10K at 9:30am. There were two shuttles leaving the hotel that morning, one at 6:15 am and one at 6:45 am, half of of the bloggers had to be on the first bus and since I LOVE being early I hopped on that one. It was a cold ...
